It’s totally up to us that whom we see as an inspiration and whom we consider to be respected in our society. In this 21st century everywhere around us is a distraction one of us i.e. Sumit Antil who again won a gold medal in the Paralympics 2024 held in Paris. Sumit Antil is an Indian Paralympian and Javelin thrower. He also won a gold medal in the men’s Javelin throw F64 event in the 2020 Tokyo Paralympics. He also made a world record by throwing the highest 70.59m in the Paralympics 2024 and broke his own initial record.He is also a six-time world record holder. This journey that seems to be very amazing is not a cake walk for Sumit Antil.
As big achievements required sacrifice and Sumit sacrificed many things and struggled a lot to achieve this milestone. With a lot of motivation he never gives up and the rest is history.
EARLY LIFE
Sumit Antil was born on 7 June 1998 in the Kherwa village of Sonipat, Haryana. His father served the nation as he was a part of the Indian Air force. He lost his father only at the age of 7 years. His mother Nirmala Devi looked at him after his father’s death.
Mother’s contribution is infinite and she motivates him to make his career in sports. He wants to become a Wrestler and join the Indian Army but God has different plans.
When he was just 17 years old he lost his left leg in an accident while he was returning from tuition. He had an accident with a truck and lost his leg. As a common human we may lose our hope because of what circumstances we don’t know but he still wants to achieve his dream.
EDUCATION
He completed his secondary education from Rishi senior Secondary school,Sonipat and pursuing B. com from Ramjas college, Delhi University.
NEW GOAL WITH SAME PASSION
In 2017 he met with Naval Singh, Javelin coach. He trained under his guidance and after rigorous practice he participated in 2020 Tokyo Paralympics and in his second attempt he throws 68.55m (world record) and won a gold medal 🏅 . He then participated in the recent 2024 Paris Paralympics and again broke his own record by throwing 70.59 m and making a new world record.

In the nutshell it’s all about our mindset that how we see our problems. Everyone’s Life is difficult and problem is the ready made attire of humans. With positive temperament we decide to achieve something we can , we need to avoid such negative circumstances which will hinder you in your success.There is nothing to fear from the unfavorable circumstances or from the failure
It always gives u a golden opportunity to rise and shine , the only thing is that you have to dig out that hidden gem in that situation.
If Sumit can do it we also can do something in our life. Just follow your passion and give your 100% . Stay dedicated and motivated and don’t allow anything to come between your dreams.
